This is from a free recipe booklet I received in the mail from the Jiffy Mix company.
- 1 (8 ounce) package Jiffy corn muffin mix
- 1 egg
- 1⁄3 cup milk
- frying oil
- 1⁄4 cup flour
- 1⁄4 cup finely chopped onions or 1⁄4 cup onion flakes
- Preheat oil to 375°F.
- Stir all ingredients till well mixed.
- Drop by level teaspoon into hot oil and fry about 2 minutes (1 minute each side).
- Drain and serve.
