Hungry Girl takes common recipes and lightens up the fat and calories. This recipe uses Crystal Light Lemonade individual packet. Published in "Redbook" magazine.
- 1 1⁄2 ounces tequila
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- 1 Crystal Light sugar free low calorie lemonade mix (individual packet)
- 6 ounces diet lemon-lime soda
- Combine tequila and lime juice; stir in Crystal Light packet until sugar dissolves.
- Add diet soda and stir; pour over crushed ice and garnish with lime slice, if desired.
This is an excellent lower-cal alternative when you're craving a yummy margarita! I made the mistake of actually making the lemonade (adding water to the mix), and that even tasted good and not at all watered down. 1 1/2 oz of tequila by itself = 96 calories, so keep that in mind!
This is surprisingly really good. I make mine on the rocks just like the recipe says and it is awesome.
I've been making this recipe for a few months now and mine is just a bit different. I use 1/2cup of tequila to a standard blender, 4T lime juice and then pour over 15 large ice cubes along with the diet lemon/lime soda and the Crystal Light Lemonade packet. This makes 4 smaller servings. Really very good.
