My kids love this. I am not as fond of it as they are, but if you need a quick meal for kids, this is a hit at our house.
- 1 lb hamburger
- 2 tablespoons onions
- 1 (16 ounce) can pork and beans
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1⁄2 cup frozen peas
- Fry hamburger and onions together.
- Drain the fat.
- Add Pork and beans, ketchup and peas and simmer on medium low for about 10 minutes.
I loved this recipe, mostly because it has such few ingredients and it's so quick to make (it came in really handy on a busy Friday night!) and, of course, it was really tasty. I was about 1/4 cup short on the ketchup, but I don't think it mattered -- my teenage boys both had seconds. I topped my portion with a little shredded mozzarella and it was yummy.
