- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon Hungarian paprika
- 1⁄2 green pepper (thinly sliced)
- salt
directions
- mix cream cheese and paprika.
- (It should become salmon coloured).
- Salt to taste.
- Spread generously over bread.
- Garnish with thin green pepper slices.
- YUM! EAT IT ALL UP!

So extremely simple, & so extremely tasty, expecially on the pumpernickle bread! I sliced the green pepper VERY thin, not wanting its taste to overtake that of the other ingredients! Definitely want to serve this & have a choice of a pumpernickle or a rye or a whole wheat bread! Very, very nice addition to my fingerfoods cookbook! [Made & reviewed for one of my adoptees in this Spring's Pick-A-Chef]
