This is the first time I've made hummus without tahini. It was a very tasty hummus, and I didn't miss it. Thanks for posting! Made for PAC Spring 2010.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Mince garlic in blender or food processor.
  2. Add drained chickpeas, salt, cumin, and cayenne and blend until minced.
  3. Scrape sides of blender/food processor with a rubber spatula.
  4. Add lemon juice, olive oil, and 2 tbs. of reserved chickpea liquid, processing until thick and smooth.
  5. Taste and adjust seasonings as desired.
