once you find out how easy it is to make this yourself you will never buy it premade again. as with all things homemade it tastes much better as well.
Bonnie; Simple and easy to make. Just super-great. I made this recipe for a group of 16 at our GOURMET CLUB, served it with Microwaved Pita Trianges, WOW!!, also with Roasted Sweet Red Pepper Strips. Thanks much. "Uncle Bill"
Excellent!! I really easy to make hummus. I added a two tablespoons of minced fresh parsley and a dash of hot cayanne pepper to it it give it a little kick. Really good consistency though!
This was really good. It was easy and simple. Bravo to the chef!
Simply wonderful recipe. Much better than store bought. The only thing I did was to add a little canola oil while the food process was spinning and that really made a velvety consistency.I didn't want to use extra virgin olive oil because I thought it would alter the flavor to much. I think it needs a flavorless oil. Used fresh squeezed lemon juice and freshly chopped garlic. (nothing beats fresh) No more store bought for me.
Bonnie, I like your version better first recipe had more lemon juice and no olive oil, upon adding the olive the flavor was less lemony; I double the chick peas and used some of that reserved juice. Having a Pampered Chef party and wanted to serve a change for commercial dips! Thanks for posting. Justmez2
This is wonderful!!!! My 3yr old loves it!
Thanks for this simple, but delicious recipe! I added a bit extra tahini and a bit less olive oil. I added extra lemon juice, but also a bit of extra water to thin it down.
Excellent. I made it in a blender and had to add more liquid; I used water instead of more lemon juice.
This was amazing!! It was simple to make and delicious!! I used a fresh lemon to squeeze in and it added so much flavor!!!
