This recipe originally hails from a 1977 cookbook called "Amish Cooking".
- 1 lb ground veal
- 1 cup breadcrumbs or 1 cup cracker crumb
- 1⁄2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon butter
- salt and pepper, to taste
- Thoroughly mix all of the ingredients together.
- Form the mixture into a long, free-form loaf.
- Bake at 350°F for 1 1/2 hours.
