Cookie
- 3⁄4 cup shortening
- 2 eggs
- 3⁄4 cup cocoa
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1⁄2 cups milk

Filling
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 3⁄4 cup butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup marshmallow creme
directions
- Preheat over to 400 degrees.
- Cream together shortening, eggs, cocoa, 1 1/2 tsp vanilla and sugar.
- Sift together flour, baking powder and 3/4 tsp salt.
- Add 1 1/2 cups milk to cocoa mixture alternating with dry ingredients.
- Mix well after each addition until batter is smooth.
- Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 7-8 minutes; cool.
- Blend together filling ingredients; spread on the bottom of a cookie and top with another.
- Store in an air-tight container.
