I've never seen a Sonic is our area so don't know how this compares. But it was simple and tasty. Thanks for sharing, Dropbear. Made for Cookbook Tag.

I live in Louisiana where there is a Sonic in just about every town that has a post office, and this is it!!! I made ours with plain bread (no buns in the house) but it was PERFECT! You just have to be a little more careful your buttered bread doesn't tear....My DD,who is NOT a meat eater ate 3/4 of hers and LOVED it!! (she's a skinny 12 YO) The only thing she would order was chicken tenders, but now she says she'll order a #1 with no tomato (LOL)! Thanks so much for making it so EASY to get a little beef in her diet!!

These are exactly the way we have always made and eaten our burgers and they are so good! The combination of toppings have always been my favorite. Not sure about the Sonic chains since we don't have them here but if this is on their menu its not very unique since we have been making burgers like this at home for years. I like the copycat recipe though! Thanks for sharing.

I grew up in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the home of the original Sonic. I was hoping when they started opening Sonic's in Colorado the food would be as good as I remebered. It isn't. This burger tasted more like the original than any we have gotten lately at Sonic. Thanks Dropbear for a taste of the past. Bullwinkle.
