Hotsy Totsy Pork'n Peppers

Have it Hot or Not (it's best hot) Quick and easy. This is a Chinese/ Very Canadian dish

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (5 ounce) package chinese noodles, cooked
  • 1 lb pork tenderloin, cut into 3/4 inch cubes
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce, divided
  • 12 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • pepper
  • vegetable oil cooking spray, for pan
  • 1 cup sweet red pepper, seeded,deveined & cubed
  • 1 cup yellow sweet pepper, seeded,de veined & cubed
  • 1 cup mixed hot pepper, seeded,deveined and finely chopped (if you do not wish to use them increase the sweet peppers by 1/2 cup each) (optional)

Directions

  1. Combine pork & 1 tbsp soy, stir well & set aside.
  2. Combine the remaining soy, juice, vinegar, honey & cornstartch. Stir well.
  3. Spray a skillet and over high heat stir fry the pork until browned (1 1/2 minutes).
  4. Remove pork from skillet.
  5. Stir fry the peppers for 2 minutes.
  6. Return pork to skillet & add juice mixture.
  7. Bring to a boil and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  8. Add noodles. Cook until heated through.

For a Monday evening I always look for something to cook that is quick and easy. Found this recipe and liked the look of it.Liked it even more after cooking and eating it.The honey and orange are there in the background and temper the heat of the peppers, at first I thought the amount of hot peppers might be too much but it wasn't, the flavor's were wonderful.I did add some fresh garlic. Thank you Bergy!
