This is a great beverage to aid decongestion when you're sick, or just to warm you up on a cold night. It's also a good hot winter alternative to a Bloody Mary if you add vodka.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 cup tomato juice or 1 cup tomato-based vegetable juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 12 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 dash Lawry's Seasoned Salt (for flavor) or 1 dash celery salt (for flavor)


  1. Mix all ingredients.
  2. Heat, and serve hot.

I read about this on Earth Clinic. I was hoping someone would have it posted for my easy reference! :) So thank you!!! I was worried I wouldn't like this because I'm not a huge fan of V8 and I couldn't imagine it hot. But it was tasty and I do think it helped my sinuses!
