Hot & Spicy Braised Prawns

Quick fast and delicious! Great with any chinese meal. Great with any meal for that matter. Substitute Chicken or beef for the prawns

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 lb prawns, shelled and deveined
  • 2 teaspoons sherry wine
  • 2 teaspoons chili oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 teaspoons ginger, finely minced
  • 3 green onions, minced
  • 1 12 teaspoons sesame oil

Directions

  1. Combine Oil,Garlic and Ginger in a fry pan or Wok.
  2. Stir and fry until the oil has absorbed the fragrance (10 seconds).
  3. Add Sherry, soy sauce,Chili oil and cook about 90 seconds.
  4. Add Prawns, braise until they turn pink and look opaque 60-90 seconds.
  5. Do not over cook the prawns.
  6. Add green onion cook 30 seconds.

simply delicious! the only addition i made was to add 1 tbsp of hoisin sauce to temper the heat. this literally disappeared within minutes of being served, thanks bergy.

These were really good, and spicy... I have made them a couple of times now.. The first time I didn't use soy sauce, and they tasted good, but the 2nd time I added 2 teaspoon soy, and some more ginger they were great. Thanx for sharing
