  1. Heat the grape juice in a saucepan.
  2. Add the sugar and simmer until dissolved.
  3. Stir in the lemon juice and cloves.
  4. Simmer two minutes longer.
  5. Add the apple.
  6. Pour into four glasses.
  7. Garnish with slices of lemon.
