This is the best and easiest hot fudge sauce I have ever made. My family has used it since the late 1960's that I know of. Maybe longer. I really like bananas dipped into it.
- 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- bring the evaporated milk, sugar and chocolate to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.
- add the vanilla and beat until smooth.
- Serve over ice cream if desired.
