This wasn't too bad. I made as written only halved. I did have to cook it longer then 5 (15) minutes to get the cheese to melt. We had this on toasted bread - I sprinkled garlic salt on mine.
My mother and I have made this recipe for years. We have it every year Christmas Eve. It is a wonderful recipe which our whole family enjoys.
Absolutely delicious. I used spanish onions for a little color, and added some chopped green onion as well. Served with a warm sliced baguette and water crackers. A big hit!
