EXCELLENT! I added a can of petit diced tomatoes. Just can't beat chili as a condiment on a hot dog! Just goes together like peanut butter and jelly does. It is best to use lean beef. Prepared as a participant in the Southern, Cajun, Creole Sept 2009 Tag Event in the Cooking Photo Forum.
I've ate this chili all my life. :) and its the best EVER. Love you mom.
Awesome!!! Just what I have been looking for!!!!
Good easy HOT DOG chili. I halved the recipe and used tomato sauce and tomato paste instead of ketchup with two cloves of fresh garlic. Simmered overnight in the crock pot for a noon picnic. It even impressed the hubby. Thanks so much.
I love this recipe!! It reminds me of the hot dog chili I grew up eating in WV, I know live in MI & have been looking for a good hot dog chili recipe. I'm so glad I finally found it! My husband loves it to & he's also from the south, no northern chili recipe can compare!! Thanks, Celena
Ok, so right off the bat I messed off 'cause DH was IMing me as I was cooking and I put the meat in the pan with the onion but nothing else. I halved the recipe and added the chili powder to taste rather than measuring. By the end of 2 hours +/- this was very good. Almost tasted like sloppy joes, in fact I may use it as such in the future. Thanks for posting. Next time I'll follow the directions better and I'll update my review when I do.
This was great. Mine seemed to have excess liquid, but that may be my fault for not accurately measuring. I just drained it a bit towards the end. I loved the texture of this and the whole family enjoyed it. Thanks.
Try this chili last night, all I can say is Awesome!!!!!!!
This is excellant! Will be making this from now on! Thanks so much!
