This makes a HUGE batch of cocoa mix. Make up a batch when the weather turns cool and you should have enough to last until Spring. It's also great to package as gifts. If you have baby food jars, put 1/3-2/3 cup of mix in jar and top with miniature marshmallows. Write the mixing instructions and attach to jar along with a mini candy cane. You could also use resealable snack bags instead of baby food jars. This recipe was given to me by my mom. I don't know how many servings it really makes - just estimated.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (8 quart) box powdered milk
  • 1 (16 ounce) container non-dairy powdered coffee creamer
  • 16 ounces powdered sugar
  • 1 (2 lb) box Quik chocolate milk mix

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Store in an air-tight container.
  3. Use about 1/3 cup mix to 1 cup of hot water.

make sure you have a big container!! I cleaned out one of those popcorn tins to put this recipe inside. This is super yummy and I'm so excited I found it...no more premixed little packets for me!

This is a great hot cocoa mix. My kids love it. With a big family I need a recipe that serves this many. I made a couple of batches and gave some away as Christmas gifts. This year I substituted half of the coffee creamer for the chocolate flavored creamer. It was so good and chocolately. The family loved it.

It does make quite a bit. My sister & I made this together last year for gifts. This recipe has been in our family for a very long time so I know it is a oldie but a goodie. It tastes really good when you make it up, too.
