Hot Cocoa (Black Gravy)

"One if the best things about going to grandmas house was waking up to Cocoa and Bisquits, she called it black gravy. My children love it and request it often. It is Chocolate gravy on bisquits. I usually double the recipe, and top mine with extra butter. When I was small I didn't want the bisquits, just a bowl of cocoa."

• Serves: 4

ingredients

• 6 tablespoons cocoa
• 2 tablespoons cornstarch
• 2⁄3 cup sugar
• 3 cups milk
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 3 tablespoons butter

directions

1. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and cocoa in saucepan.
2. Stir in milk stirring until it boils.
3. Boil for 1 minute (until it starts to thicken).
4. Remove from heat and stir in butter.
5. Serve over hot bisquits.
