I just had to add this to my Hot Chocolate line-up.

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Heat 1 cup of the milk in a medium saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add chocolate, stirring constantly, until melted.
  3. When the chocolate has melted, increase heat to medium and add the remainder of the milk while whisking rapidly. Do not allow to boil.
  4. Serve in small cups fortified with a jigger (1 1/2 ounces) of peppermint schnapps and a dollop of whipped cream.
  5. Add a peppermint stick to stir.
  6. If transporting in a thermos, heat thermos up with hot water to get it warm for 1 minute. Pour water out and fill with hot chocolate.

Creamy, thick, rich pepermint patty! I did make just for one. Thanks for the comfort!

This is delicious. I used 2% milk and semisweet chocolate. It melted fine for me. I used half of the peppermint amount and a chocolate-covered peppermint stick candy cane! The peppermint flavor was wonderful; not too much. I made a non-alcohol version for my son and the peppermint stick gave it a wonderful mint flavor as well! Thanks for sharing.
