  • Combine first eight ingredients in oven proof pan.
  • Mix bread crumbs, parmesan and butter and sprinkle on top.
  • Bake uncovered for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.

  1. Wonderful Casserole! I used less bell pepper (personal preference), increased the chopped celery and lightly sauteed both with the onion in some oleo. I topped the casserole with a 1/4 cup of shredded, sharp cheddar cheese and then added the crumbs, parmesan and butter mixture. Thanks, Kristal, for your great recipe!
     
  2. A very simple recipe and because I wanted to save time, I used canned chicken breast. Still came out perfect.
     
  3. I didn't add the pimientos, I knew my picky eaters wouldn't go for it, instead I substituted a can of mushrooms. I also sauteed the vegetebles first and then added them. This recipe is SOOO YUMMY everyone gobbled it down and I already have requests to make it again
