Was recipe browsing today & ran into the Manitoba Liquor Control Commission again, this time w/another Canadian cocktail. I'm now convinced this group does little in the realm of real liquor control.
- In a coffee mug, combine whisky & sugar. Add boiling water to fill & stir well.
- Float butter on top & sprinkle w/cinnamon.
I'm not actually going to give a star rating, because maybe it was me, but I found this undrinkable. The butter on top was not a particularly nice addition to my palate. Sorry.
Great, just what I needed on this cold evening. Have been standing outside for about hour and half. This really hit the spot. Never thought butter and whiskey would go well together but this does.
Yum! I love this round the campfire in the winter time, when it's too cold for anything else! I halved the recipe but kept the sugar the same, and used brown sugar. Honey is nice too. Never thought of adding cinnamon before, it's my new favourite addition! Thanks!
