- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon grated orange peel
- 5 cups strong coffee
- 1 1⁄4 cups apricot brandy
- Whip the cream with sugar, cinnamon, and orange peel until soft peaks form. Refrigerate.
- Combine coffee and brandy and heat but do not boil.
- Pour into 8 mugs and top with whipped cream.
This was great, KateL. The cinnamon-infused whipped cream was positively divine, and I really enjoyed it floating at the top of this coffee drink and sweetening the coffee as it melted. There was only the two of us this morning, so I halved the recipe and we had plenty to leisurely enjoy this morning. This would be perfect for Christmas morning when we like something special that doesn't take too long to prepare. Made for Please Review My Recipe tag game. Yum!
