We enjoyed these potatoes! I did use prepared horseradish as that is what I had in the fridge and freshly grated nutmeg. Loved the zip from the horseradish!
I made this using prepared horseradish but followed the rest of the recipe. We had it with barbequed steak - yummy!
I made this for supper tonight with smoked salmon and steamed broccoli. I used buttermilk in place of the butter and milk and used prepared horseradish instead of fresh. Turned out great. Will be making this again. Thanks for sharing.
We really enjoyed these for dinner tonight. I have often added garlic & parsley to my mashed potatoes, but the addition of horseradish was wonderful. They were spicy without being hot. Thanks Toolie for a recipe I will use again.
I am afraid that I did not follow the recipe exactly (significant differences) but the result was wonderful I can't wait to make it as stated. I could not find fresh horseradish nor new potatoes so I used preserved horseradish and peeled the old potatoes. I will make this recipe again when my new potatoes are ready in the garden and our farmer's market is open so I can get the fresh horseradish. I have been eyeing this recipe for so long I decided to go with what I had on hand and I am not sorry I did. My apologies Toolie but it did give a new slant to your recipe
Waaahooo, let me tell you somethin Mr. Toolbelt, these mashed potatoes are dangerous...dangerously good! They pack a punch though that if not controled will knock you right out of your chair. They are just prefect for steak though (which is what I served them with). I used them as a dip for my porterhouse, and WOW, it was sooo good. I can't wait to have them again. In fact I might just make more tomorrow for dinner...now I just need for steak.
