We thought this had a nice amount of heat, but the mix stuck to the bottom of my heated and oiled pan the minute the steaks hit it. I had to scrape the mix up to serve and photograph the steak. Nice flavour but I was hoping for a yummy crust.
I just really needed an affirmation that my plan to rub horseradish all over my sirloin was a good idea. It was. I omitted the salt as there was already some in the basic tenderizing marinade. It added just the right amount of flavor without overpowering the beef.
This was quite good. However, I wouldn't exactly say it is really all that hot. It did create a great crust for the ribeye steak. For aussie swap.
This is a spicy little recipe. But I like it that way. You can adjust this recipe to your liking which is always nice. I used this recipe on some nice sirloin steaks. [made for Aus/NZ recipe swap #19 Aug. o8].
