Hooter's Hot Wing Sauce

"This is supposed to be a copycat of the sauce served on Hooter's Hotwings. I've never been in a Hooter's (and won't ever be)so I don't know how authentic the taste is, but these are quite tasty on hot wings, deep fried plain or breaded either one works nicely with this sauce."

directions

  • Simply mix all the ingredients together very well.
  • Dunk, dip or soak your cooked wings in this sauce.
  • For a change of pace, I will occasionally re-fry the wings after they've been sitting in the sauce, and then dunk them again once they've spent just a few seconds in the deep fryer, crisping up.
  • Serve with ranch or bleu cheese dressing, or whatever you prefer.

  1. Don't call it a Hooters copy cat recipe if you've never even had Hooters wings

  2. This is NOT the real Hooters recipe.

  3. As a regular Hooters customer who, in his lifetime, has consumed more than his share of their fine wings, I feel more than qualified to be able to compare this recipe to the taste of the actual Hooters sauce. While it comes close, it is not an exact copy. I will say, however, that is is very tasty and I will use it often for my tailgate and Sunday afternoon football parties. Bottom line: this sauce rocks!

  4. This is nothing similar to the "copycat" recipe of Hooters Chicken Wings I have which is published by Todd Wilber "Top Secret Restaurant Recipes". I'm sure it's good, but wondering about the "copycat" recipe.

  5. ps. I forgot, I also added a tad of A-1 and Worcheshire sauce to give it a bolder taste. My husband was very happy with the latest creation!
