Great recipe. I dropped the dough from a rounded teaspoons and sprinkled with sugar. I made 24 larger at 15 minutes and 24 small cookies at 10-11 minutes baking time with this recipe. Be sure and add at least 1/4t. more ginger, you will be disappointed if you don't. I am wishing I had added even more. So good!
A nice change from the usual ginger molasses cookies. I didn't have any ground clove so I used ground allspice instead. I might add more of the spices next time because I like my cookies extra spicy, but these are still super tasty as they are. My oven tends to run hot and it still took twice the cooking time, 15-16 minutes or so, so that's something to keep in mind, my first batch was still raw in the center when I cooked them for only 10 minutes. Otherwise I think this will become a regular recipe in my house. Thank you!
These cookies are very good! They are perfect as they are chewy and soft on the inside. My DD made them and replaced the brown sugar with brown sugar blend Spenda!
I was out of brown sugar so I used white and doubled up on the spices, adding in some nutmeg as well. The cookies came out cake-like and delicious!
I followed the recipe exactly and the cookies turned out REALLY good! I'm normally the type that needs something chocolate in my cookie, but not in these! Totally satisfying!
I made these cookies and they were amazing! They were a big hit. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my cookies became rather flat. They loked a bit funny, but they went like hot cakes! I added a 1/2 tsp of cardamom and upped the ginger to 1 1/2 tsps. I also didn't roll them in extra sugar. This has become a staple cookie in my house!
These were the absolute best cookies i have ever had and i have trided Over 50 some recipes from this site and i got to say these are my favorite so far. I made a 2 dozen very large cookie with just the amount of ingretents that you listed. In this recipe i did change one thing and that was instead of using ground ginger I used pumpkin spices and turned out great.
These were great! I used a sugar free honey since that was all I had & they came out nicely. This made a lot of cookies for me; I can't remember how many. They're like molasses cookies but with a sweeter taste from the honey. Thank you!
These are great! My husband and I loved these cookies. I made a double batch, since it said that it only made twelve. I must make my cookies small because I got five dozen cookies from a double batch. Also, I didn't dip them in sugar before baking (I didn't have any sugar), and they were still delicious without it! They kind of remind me of ginger snaps.
