- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, mustard, honey, and lemon juice.
- Store covered in the refrigerator.
My BF loves honey mustard with his chicken fingers and always requests a big bowl of it... it's like another food group for him along with ketchup! In fact, he loves to mix the two together before dipping... I have made honey mustard many times using this basic recipe, but never thought of adding in the lemon juice. It really "wakes up" the flavor and adds a little sparkle to the dip... not really tangy, but a great little secret ingredient! We love it since it's so easy to prepare a fresh batch every time you want some... no need to ever buy the prepared stuff again!!! Thanks for sharing!
Tastes just right. I have made similar before but not with lemon juice added. I think this is the secret ingredient :) A 'keeper' for sure for me. I used it as a dressing on young salad greens tonight and tomorrow will use as a dip for some chicken tenderloins. :)
I used this as a dip for some crumbed chicken pieces at a party, so simple & tastes fantastic, a keeper for me most definitely.
