I ate this delectable dish as a soft taco even with a little sour cream and loved it. So easy to make and fit my partiality to avocados perfectly. I will use the relish on other things like burgers too.
Gailann's photo drew me to this recipe....just gorgeous! My relish just didn't look like hers, although it tasted fabulous. Think my avocados must have been a bit more rip, as they seemed to coat all the other ingredients of the relish....so maybe you need a pretty firm avocado for photo quality....but for taste....my oh my, my avocado was perfection! The meat turned out very tender and juicy, and I used the cooking times indicated. Loved diner's idea of serving with tortillas.....the meat and relish would work wonderfully for this.
Great flavorful steak!!! I made this as part of our Labor Day weekend BBQ, as DD came home for the long weekend, unexpectedly. I served this sliced on a platter and then had the relish, cheese, sour cream and corn tortillas on the side so others could use what they wanted. This was one of 3 different meats served and it was a hit. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Made for ZWT8.
Delicious!! We really enjoyed this flavorful steak. I used the entire amount of the honey mixture to marinate the steak because half of the mixture didn't seem like it was enough for 2 lbs. of steak. Also, I let it sit in the marinade for about 3 hours and it was perfect. The tasty relish pushed this steak over the top. I increased the cilantro to 2 Tablespoons because we love the stuff. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe...it is definitely a keeper!!

Oh, boy! Oh, boy oh boy oh boy! I love a good steak. Made for ZWT#8 Mexico/Tex-Mex.
This recipe is so good. The avocado-tomato relish is very yummy even though I omitted the cilantro and red onion. The steak had a great taste with the marinade. Thanks Nancy :) Made for Holiday tag game
