We tried this recipe while camping in Northern MN. The flavor was wonderful. I am sure i'll make it at home too. The only problem was the honey attracted bees and flys at our campsite, I think I'll prepackage everything next time so I don't have to mess with the measuring. This meal may turn out to be a camping tradition for us.
I made this last night for the guys, and it turned out super moist! This time around it was made in a glass dish, covered w/foil and placed in the oven, but am looking forward to making this over the fire when camping. Thank you!
This smelled delicious while it was cooking! I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt and mixed the seasonings into the honey mixture because I didn't read the whole recipe through. I think I cooked it a little too long as it turned out slightly dry.
I am only commenting on the marinade itself. I didn't do the packets so I can't comment on them. If I ever get around to it i will revise the review. The marinade was great. Easy to prepare with nearly everything I already had. Marinaded the chicken in 2 ways. 1 - for camping this weekend, just tossed it int a ziplock bag and froze, the other in a dish and covered for 1/2 a day. BBQ'd the chicken and it was tasty to be sure. Too bad my DH overcooked the chicken and it was dry. Better luck next time.
delicious! my whole family enjoyed this. i used some fryer thighs & they turned out wonderfully. i also used someones suggestion of putting it in a casserole dish & covering it w/foil.
