I like the concept but the recipe needs some work for us. It was very sweet and didn't have enough other flavor. I think next time I would skip the brown sugar, add lime zest, add more heat and add some garlic. Maybe something else like a rum? I don't know. I really like the idea and will try and find a recipe that we like more. My very picky 5 year old did love this though so thank you.
THIS WAS SO GOOD!! I have to admit...I did cheat a bit. We had leftover chicken breast we had cooked a few days ago. So I cut them up, made the marinade, and then warmed up the chicken slowly in a pan with the marinade. This was YUMMY! Perfect blend of some tart from the lime balanced with sweet from the honey and sugar. A definite keeper. THANKS for sharing!
This recipe ROCKS! Such caramelized goodness when the sauce reduces down. Mmmmm, Mmmmmm good. It really does taste like GOOD sweet and sour chicken. I will definitely be making this again and again. For me, this is one treasure of a recipe. Thank you so much for posting.
Did remind us of cantonese sweet and sour. Could relly taste the lime which was great only down side is next time I would use a little less sugar and honey as we found it a little too sweet

Yummy! This was really good. The honey and lime flavors were great, not quite like anything else in my cookbook. I will also put this in rotation.
Very nice sweet and sour sauce and so easy to make. Like another poster I doubled the sauce and served over steamed white rice with a side of stir-fried vegetables. Thanks for the great recipe!
