Honey Granola

"This recipe came about from tinkering with a few granola recipes. I wanted something that tasted really good, using ingredients that I usually have in the house, that was fast to make and on the whole, somewhat healthy."

  1. Great recipe - not too sweet, very flexible.

  2. Made some changes, due to what I had on hand: used dried cranberries instead of raisins, molasses and light corn syrup instead of honey, and added 1/4 cup slivered almonds and 1/4 cup walnut pieces. Turned out really good! Thanks for sharing!

  3. I love this simple but delicious recipe! I left out the coconut as my husband doesn't like it. I love that this recipe uses honey instead of sugar, making it healthier. We have been enjoying this granola on top of homemade yogurt and frozen berries.

  4. Simple and yummy! I substitute rice syrup for honey and coconut oil for the butter. I also cut the raisins in half. A handful of cashews adds an extra crunch.

  4. I thought this was really good granola. I used coconut oil instead of butter, cranberries instead raisins, and added some sunflower seeds and sliced almonds. It was really good! Thanks!

  5. This was my first attempt at making Granola and was suprised at how easy it was to make! I had it mixed and in the oven in less than 10 minutes. I used cranberries instead of Raisins. Thank you so much for posting this recipe! It will definately be a favorite in our house! Delicious!

I was born and raised in Utah. I was a graphic designer for ten years for a local school district. I have since moved on but still enjoy doing that for fun. I love to cook, read, listen to music, craft things. I don't think I really have a favorite cookbook. But if I had to pick it would be one that was written up by women in the area with home recipes. I think those are the best. Probably one of the reasons I enjoy Recipezaar so much.
