A 'sweet' dish of carrots with the option of sesame seed.
- Peel the carrots and cut into serving size pieces.
- Steam or boil until just tender.
- Drain carrots.
- Add honey and stir carrots until they are coated with honey.
- If using sesame seed, add sesame seed to carrot/honey mix and stir.
- Serve immediately.
This was a lovely side dish. I just used the honey and left out the sesame seed as it wouldn't have gone with the rest of the meal. The honey adds a very subtle extra flavour and sweetness to the already naturally sweet carrots. Thanks for sharing.
We are cleaning out our garden and I used this recipe to finish off some of our fresh carrots. I peeled and slice the carrots using a crinkle cutter and used clover honey. I left off the sesame seeds and these were perfect. Thanks!
