It was okay, but not outstanding. Good in a pinch though. Quick to throw together. I used fresh broccoli, and added a bit of water/cornstarch at the end to thicken the sauce.
I made this with about 1/4 to 1/2 cup each of fresh vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, onions, red peppers, snow peas) and it turned out really great. It is very quick and tasty.
Didn't use mixed veggies, but I will next time. Very flavorful and appetizing. The honey is the perfect thing to sweeten up the meal. I generally don't like chicken, but I liked this.
My family and I really enjoyed this recipe. It was quick and easy which I love for a weeknight dinner. I did add a tsp of cornstarch to thicken the sauce a little bit and next time I make this I will double the sauce. I served this over soba noodles and sprinkled few toasted sesame seeds on top. A tasty quick meal. I scaled this down to a fast dinner for 1. Did not have frozen vegetables so I used a fresh combination of red peppers, snap peas, baby corn and carrots. The honey ginger worked well with these as the are on the sweeter side of the veggie spectrum. Given Susie's comment on the thinness of the sauce (I agree), sprinkled in a smige of arrowroot which thickened it to a thin glaze rather than syrup. Thanks di!
This was a terrific and FAST meal. I served over crisp rice noodles instead of rice. I liked the inclusion of the water chestnuts because they added crunchiness. I did add 1 1/2 teaspoons of cornstarch as the sauce was a bit thin. Thank you for sharing your recipe!
