My mom makes this for me all the time on special occasions or just because!! They are my all time favorite!!
- 2 -3 lbs pork ribs
- 1 cup honey
- 1⁄4 cup soya sauce
- 1⁄2 cup ketchup
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ginger
- 1⁄8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup chicken bouillon
- Cut ribs. I usually cut them bite size
- Boil in a large pot for about 1/2 hour-1 hour.
- Mix remaining ingredients in medium bowl. (honey garlic sauce).
- Cook for 1-1 1/2 hours with sauce @ 350°F.
This is very good! Just a little too sweet for me. Instead of garlic powder, I used about 1/2 teaspoon fresh, minced garlic and I used fresh minced ginger as well. I made the marinade a few hours before using it, to give the flavors a chance to meld together. I used boneless pork ribs, so I didn't boil them first. I also poured the marinade over the ribs and let them marinade for about an hour before popping them in the oven. I will make this again, but will use less honey. Thanks for sharing your recipe. Made for PAC Fall '07.
I used this on a pork loin tonight and yum. The sauce is fantastic! I did sub fresh ginger & garlic for the powdered. This is a keeper. Thanks Jennifer!
