Honey and cinnamon together have some awesome health benefits. And they taste great! (Fixed this down to 1 TB from 2-- I just squooshed some honey into the bowl without really measuring it; it's probably a little less than 1 TB.)
- 118.29 ml quick-cooking rolled oats
- 177.44 ml vanilla soymilk
- 14.79 ml honey (or agave nectar for vegans)
- 0.75 ml cinnamon
- Mix all the ingredients together in a microwave-safe bowl. Nuke for 1-2 minutes.
I love it, but I used only a half cup of skim milk (I like less liquid in my oatmeal) and I added maybe a tablespoon or more brown sugar and a spoonful of flax seed. So yummy! Next time I'll throw some apples in there :)
Quick, tasty and a huge hit for a cold weather breakfast this morning thanks 80's! I used Quaker porridge oats and local wild flower honey. The vanilla soymilk was a nice touch, and luckily I had some left over from when my veggie parents stayed with us this Christmas, so a great way to use it up!
