- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 lbs chicken wings (about 8)
- 4 -5 cups canola oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce
- Combine flour, salt and pepper in a medium-sized plastic bag.
- Remove tips from chicken wings and discard; cut remaining wings in half.
- Place chicken pieces one at a time in the bag and shake to coat well.
- Remove wings to a clean piece of parchment or waxed paper and set aside.
- Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep-sided skillet to 350 degrees; fry chicken in batches until crisp and golden brown, turning occasionally, 12-15 minutes.

- Serve immediately.
My family loved them, you know...the ones that have become food critics...well, they're at a point if the wing sauce isn't hot enough to make their eyes bleed they believe them to be bland. Personally, I had a hot flash just reading the recipe.
These were great! Instead of wings, I used chicken tenders, but kept the sauce the same. I love Tabasco chipotle pepper sauce. It doesn't have as much bite as regular Tabasco and has that wonderful smokey flavor. Can't wait to fix these for DH - he's going to love them! Made for Zaar Chef Alphabet Soup Game.
These were awsome! I made these and we ate them right away. I love the combination of sweet and hot and these fit the bill perfectly. I'm now thinking of all the get togethers coming up I will make these for. I've already promised my sister some for her Memorial day party! Thanks for a great recipe xpnsve!
