Yummy,but too sweet even though i only used 4 tablespoons of honey. I also used cinnamon instead of ginger as i dont like ginger.

  1. Sift flour, ginger, baking powder, and salt into a bowl.
  2. Rub in the margarine until it becomes like breadcrumbs.
  3. Add the honey, brown sugar and beaten egg.
  4. Beat and add milk if required until mixture is creamy.
  5. Pour into a lined greased 7 inch square tin.
  6. Sprinkle with sliced almonds.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven Gas 4 for 30 minutes or until firm to the touch.
  8. Turn out and leave to cool.
