A friend made me some muffins one day and brought them over while they were still warm. They were so tasty I asked for the recipe. enjoy!

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Soak bran in buttermilk while preparing the rest.
  3. Cream butter and brown sugar, beat in honey and egg.
  4. Add bran and buttermilk.
  5. Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  6. Add dry ingredients to wet and stir just until moistened.
  7. Bake 15-20 minutes.

Just as easy to make these as the prepackaged ones. I may have over combined these as the middle kind of "fell" like a cake sometimes does. Nothing wrong with the taste though.

Excellent!! I used skim milk, unbleached flour and added a 1/4c. of wheat germ and also golden raisins to the recipe. This will alter the nutrition facts but they still taste great. Your basic rec. was just what I was looking for!!!Carol.
