this is a very sweet kugel that went well with brisket. i added some cinnamon. i think the texture would have been better if the apples were chopped instead of sliced, will try it next time.
so many kugels, so little time- keep 'em coming!

LOVED it! I made this for my mom-in-law's Rosh Hashanah visit, and she simply adored it! It is parve, deliciously sweet, and easy to make. I had to convince the family that it was part of the meal, and wasn't dessert! I will definitely make this again and again.

I needed a pareve kugel for 1st day of Rosh Hashanah. I searched high and low and decided on this one. It was wonderful and everyone raved about it! I loved the hint of honey that you can taste through it. Such a great combination of flavors. Thanks!

LOVED IT! Made for a wonderful Rosh Hashanah side dish! Though DH was convinced it was a dessert! I followed the recipe exactly as written. I'm not a HUGE fan of canned apple pie filling....I think the apples have a funky texture. But it made this recipe SO easy! I think I might try to improvise a substitute for the canned pie filling by using fresh apples.

I made this for Rosh Hashanah. It was very tasty and extremely simple to make. I left out the raisins and cut the sugar in half and found it sweet enough. Thanks!
