One of the most simple and delicious kugels around. Perfect for Rosh Hashana, and wonderful all year round.
- 12 ounces wide egg noodles, cooked
- 6 eggs
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1 cup raisins
- 1⁄2 cup honey
- 1 (20 ounce) can apple pie filling
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- Preheat oven to 350F and lightly spray your 13 x 9 baking pan with cooking spray.
- Mix everything together.
- Bake for 1 hour.
This is a great recipe. Its perfect for a potluck brunch or family get together.
this is a very sweet kugel that went well with brisket. i added some cinnamon. i think the texture would have been better if the apples were chopped instead of sliced, will try it next time. so many kugels, so little time- keep 'em coming!
There is a whole lot of sugar in this for nearly 0 flavor. Maybe that is why there is so little flavor because it is mostly made up of sugar?
