Our family recipe for delicious healthy separable yogurt. What I mean by separable is that after a while of sitting in a container, the curds and whey separate. This is beneficial for the straining for yogurt to make yogurt cheese.
- bring milk to a boil and immediately remove from heat.
- let cool until you can stick your finger in it and feel it warm but not burning.
- mix in yogurt.
- let sit in warm undisturbed place for 8-10 hours (overnight) until gelled.
