  1. In a large bowl combine bread crumbs, apple, sage, black pepper, salt, paprika, ground red pepper and nutmeg.
  2. Add turkey and mix well.
  3. Shape mixture into 4 patties (1/2 inch thick).
  4. Spray the unheated rack of a broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  5. Arrange patties on rack.
  6. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat about 10 minutes or until no longer pink; turn once.
  7. (Or spray an unheated large skillet with nonstick spray. Preheat over medium heat. Add sausage and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until no longer pink).

I liked this alot. It has lots of potential. I agree that it needs poultry seasoning. I used a whole pound and made some for myself then freezed little patties for later. This is a GREAT idea and thanks for sharing! It's an easy keeper.

i made this using bluieberries and it was awesome! I also used poultry seasoning instead of the sage, which gave it maore flavor. mixed in a food processor and it turned out great!
