I've made three tofu burgers many times for the last 20 years. What was left out was the soy sauce that you add to the burgers once they are done. I can't find my original Diet From A Small Planet book, but I've sent away for the 20th Anniversary copy and I'll update this recipe once I receive rhe book.
I followed the directions exactly and found these bland and mushy. I ended up adding quinoa flour, wheat germ, hot sauce and other spices to give it a bit of bulk and flavor. Even then, it was so-so and having to fry the burgers (and you do) was off-putting. I appreciate the post but think better cooks than I could probably do a better revision.
