Teriyaki originated in the Edo period of Japan's history and refers to the use of three favourite ingredients; soy sauce, sake and mirin.
- 78.07 ml brown sugar
- 9.85 ml garlic powder
- 4.92 ml ground ginger
- 473.18 ml ketchup
- 118.29 ml soy sauce
- 78.07 ml cider vinegar
- 22.18 ml Worcestershire sauce
- Combine dry ingredients in a bowl, or blender.
- Add liquids and mix very well.
- Transfer to a tightly sealed jar and refrigerate for at least four hours - overnight is best.
- Stir well before using.
