This is better than the mix you get at the store. The best part is it makes just enough for the recipe you're making so you don't have to keep a container of spices that you forget to use or wonder what you made for. Recipe from cooks.com.
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon powdered oregano
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl.
- Makes 3 tablespoons seasoning mix which is equal to 1/4 oz package of commercial seasoning mix.
Great mix. Fast and easy to put together. Made great tacos out of 1 lb ground beef. Substituted dried oregano for ground and it was fine. Thank you!
Won't buy taco seasoning mix again. This is too easy to do. And I omitted the salt. It's great :) Thanks AmyZoe :) Made for TYM tag game
