Homemade Sweet Chili Sauce

"yummy homemade sweet chili sauce. good for dipping, or stir fry's, etc. For less heat, use 1 tsp chili peppers. For variation, try blending half the chili flakes. For a little sweeter flavour, add 1/2 instead of 1/3 cup sugar."

• Yields: 1 1/2 cups

ingredients

• 1 cup water
• 1⁄3 cup white vinegar
• 1⁄3 cup unbleached cane sugar
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 2 teaspoons red chili pepper flakes
• 3 tablespoons cornstarch
• 1⁄2 teaspoon sea salt

directions

1. put all ingredients into a pot. heat on medium low until it simmers and thickens, stirring constantly!
2. remove from heat and enjoy!
