yummy homemade sweet chili sauce. good for dipping, or stir fry's, etc. For less heat, use 1 tsp chili peppers. For variation, try blending half the chili flakes. For a little sweeter flavour, add 1/2 instead of 1/3 cup sugar.
- 1 cup water
- 1⁄3 cup white vinegar
- 1⁄3 cup unbleached cane sugar
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons red chili pepper flakes
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1⁄2 teaspoon sea salt
- put all ingredients into a pot. heat on medium low until it simmers and thickens, stirring constantly!
- remove from heat and enjoy!
