I enjoy making homemade spaghetti sauce since it tastes so much better then store bought and this was very good sauce. Used ground round and ziti pasta for a change of pace. Eyeballed a couple sprinkles of brown sugar because I didnt want a overly sweet sauce. I had petite diced tomatoes on hand so I substituted one can for the stewed tomatoes. For the water and chicken bouillon cubes I used one cup of chicken broth. Want to give this a try with italian sausage some time soon. Made and reviewed for PAC Spring 2013.
This makes a very thick meaty sauce. The only thing I would change slightly, is less brown sugar. It makes a nice tasty sauce! It was very easy and very good. Thank you for sharing your mothers recipe. Made for Spring PAC 2010.
