From Taste of Home. This rice mix is very popular in our home - goes well with chicken, pork or fish. It makes great gifts also when packaged in a jar with a nice ribbon. I make it with brown rice and adjust the cooking time as needed. The casserole is comforting and satisfying as well. The prep/cooking time is based on the casserole recipe. **NOTE** Where the ingredients list 1 cup rice, mix - it is calling for the Homemade Seasoned Rice Mix.

I also got this recipe from TOH. I used the rice mixture for part of my Xmas gift baskets this year and everyone really liked it. I have also made it as a casserole and my family likes it too.

I only made the rice part of this, not the casserole. It was good, but a bit bland. I will probably make it again when in a pinch for a side dish, but it is unlikely to become a regular dish in our home.
