My review is for the salsa only. It is nice to know that salsa can be made quite easily at home with canned ingredients when necessary. I used a can of dice cut tomatoes in lieu of fresh and drained them as well as the can of tomato and green chili. The liquid was reserved and some of it was added to the finished product. I love the various suggestions on how to change up the recipe. Some freshly chopped cilantro was my only addition. Made for PAC Spring 2012.

Reviewed for PAC Spring '08: I'd like to give this 4 1/2 stars - 4 for the salsa and 5 for the chips. I made the salsa with a can of diced tomatoes because it's not quite the season yet. I substituted red onion for the regular and chose to add avocado and lime juice from the "other ingredient" list. I added a fair amount of salt and also thought that it could use a little more kick. Next time I'll add a dash of cayenne. The chips were so great, though - very easy and so tasty. I added a splash of lime juice to them, too. This recipe rounded out my taco night very nicely. Thank you for posting!

I loved the salsa! I used red onion, a little extra garlic and served with store bought chips I had on hand(whole grain). I used grape tomato and just chopped them up real good. Thanks! Made for fall PAC-2012.
